Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In his Mann Ki Baat program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday took mentioned Suma Uike who hails from Bhajiyapar village of Katangi block in Balaghat district. He praised her skills of earning livelihood.
Uike joined a self-help group and took training in mushroom cultivation and animal husbandry. Now she earns additional income through thermal therapy and ‘Didi Kendra’ canteen.
Chief minister Mohan Yadav listened to Mann Ki Baat programme at residence of local BJP worker Ramesh Vijayvargiya in Vijay Nagar Lalghati area. He said PM’s acknowledgment of these efforts in Mann Ki Baat greatly motivated the people of the state.
