60-Year-Old Labourer Dies, Over Half Dozen Injured After Hundreds Of Wheat Sacks Fall On Them At Warehouse In MP’s Gwalior

Around 40 workers were present at the warehouse, stacking wheat sacks when the accident took place.

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A 60-year-old labourer died after a stack of wheat sacks fell on workers at a warehouse in Gwalior on Wednesday.

Six more workers were injured in the incident.

Keshav Prajapati, died after a stack of wheat sacks collapsed on labourers at Agarwal Warehouse on Bhitarwar Road in Dabra, Madhya Pradesh.

The heavy sacks fell from a height of nearly 20 feet, trapping seven workers under them.

Keshav, a resident of Patha, died on the spot. Four other workers were seriously injured and have been admitted to the ICU at a private hospital.

Around 40 workers were present at the warehouse, stacking wheat sacks when the accident took place.

After the incident, SDM Divyanshu Choudhary visited the site and inquired about the health of the injured.

The Dehat police have begun investigating the case.

Dabra SDOP Jitendra Nagaich confirmed the accident, saying that one person died and around half a dozen were injured. He added that the body has been sent for post-mortem and the investigation is ongoing to find out how the accident happened and who was responsible.
