Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): A 20-year-old who was reported kidnapped from Shivpuri Medical College on Monday afternoon was found to have framed her own kidnapping.

After police investigation, CCTV footage analysis, and questioning of the family, it was revealed that this was neither a kidnapping nor a forced abduction, but a well-planned love affair and family conspiracy.

According to information, the woman’s husband, Aniket, alleged that his wife Preeti had planned to take him on a honeymoon to Khatushyamji in Rajasthan right after the wedding to kill him.

When he refused to go, she got angry and went to her maternal house where she allegedly created a fake story of her own kidnapping.

20-year-old Preeti Parihar, a resident of Ramnagar lives with her aunt, Mithlesh Parihar, she raised her like a daughter, took care of her education, and arranged her marriage. However, Preeti was unhappy with the marriage. Fearing social shame, Mithlesh herself went to the police on Monday and reported a fake kidnapping.

She told the police that she and Preeti had left the medical college in an auto-rickshaw at 1:30 pm. According to her, a black car stopped their auto, forcibly took Preeti, and made her inhale something intoxicating, due to which she fainted.

But from the beginning, the police were suspicious. Mithlesh kept fainting during questioning. When no strong evidence or witness emerged, the police reviewed CCTV footage from the medical college, Madhav Chowk, and Mirchi Bazaar areas.

The footage showed Preeti and Mithlesh calmly riding in the auto, with no sign of force. They were seen moving toward Mirchi Bazaar after reaching Madhav Chowk.

When confronted with the footage, Mithlesh broke down and admitted the entire plan. She confessed that there was no kidnapping — it was a cover-up to help Preeti run away with her lover Aman Kashyap and to protect their reputation. She also revealed that her son, Deepak Parihar, was part of the plan and was present in Shivpuri on the day of the incident.

During interrogation, it was found that Preeti was in a relationship with Aman Kashyap, a resident of Kanpur who works at the Ramnagar toll plaza. They had been together for two years. But due to family and societal pressure, Preeti was married off to another man — Aniket.

The most shocking detail came from Aniket himself. He told police that just days after their wedding, Preeti insisted on going to the Khatushyamji temple in Rajasthan for a honeymoon. He refused due to work, and after that, she left for her maternal home on June 15 and never returned. He believes she planned to kill him on that trip, and when her plan failed, she staged the kidnapping.

After the truth came out, police left for Kanpur at 2:30 AM. By the afternoon, they had located Preeti and Aman in the Barra area and brought them to the Shivpuri police station by evening. Station in-charge Kripal Singh Rathore confirmed that the entire kidnapping story was fake. Both Preeti and Aman are in custody and are being questioned.
