Bhopal Railway Station To Get ₹100 Crore Revamp, Work Expected To Begin By April End | Representative Image
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The second entry gate of Bhopal Railway Station, located near platform number six, is set for a major revamp with an estimated investment of ₹100 crore.
The project aims to modernise this section, enhance passenger facilities, and streamline access.
According to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) Saurabh Kataria, the renovation work is expected to begin by the end of April and is targeted for completion by October 2025.

The renovation will focus majorly on the area of modernising infrastructure and passenger convenience. Key highlights of the renovation include:
Redesigned platform building
The platform building will be redesigned, the existing structure will be upgraded to provide the passengers a more comfortable experience.
Widening old narrow paths
The administration has planned to widen the old narrow paths, Narrow passages will be expanded to facilitate smoother movement.
Installation of sculptures
Sculptures of Bhopal’s iconic landmarks, including Tajul Masjid, will be installed at the main gate.
Pictorial display of art and culture
Additionally, cultural artwork depicting Bhopal's art and culture will be displayed in pictorial form to enhance the station’s visual appeal
Improved accessibility for all
Improved Accessibility: Ramps will be constructed at staircases to assist senior citizens and women passengers. Tactile tiles and signage will be added to aid visually impaired travelers.
