Madhya Pradesh: 55-Year-Old Uncle Arrested for Raping 10-Year-Old Niece In Jabalpur, Tries To Shut Her Up With ₹30 | Representative Image
Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A 10-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her 55-year-old uncle in Jabalpur on Friday. The uncle later bribed her with Rs 30, when she shouted.
The shocking incident came to light when the 10-year-old victim revealed the trauma of the assault and harassment to her mother, leading to an FIR being filed at the local police station.
According to the police, The young victim, a fifth-grade student, lives with her parents and younger brother in Madhotal. The girl's parents, who work as laborers, had left her at her maternal home in Kotwali.
On Wednesday afternoon, while the child was playing outside, her uncle lured her to a nearby house, where the assault took place. Upon screaming, the accused gagged the innocent's mouth, and gave the little child thirty rupees and fled.
Out of trauma and fear, the victim could not mention about the incident to anyone during the entire time.

However, when her mother returned home late at night the child buckled up all her strength to talk about the heinous incident and expose the uncle's disturbing act.
After which the parents went to the police station and lodged a complaint under Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act.
Investigation is underway and the cops are attempting to execute a swift action against the accused. While incident has raised concerns amongst the local communities about child safety.
