MG Motor India has announced a price hike of up to 3% across its entire product range, effective January 2025. The company attributes the increase to rising input costs and other external factors impacting production.
Commenting on the announcement, Satinder Bajwa Singh, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India Pvt Ltd said, “Our dedication to quality, innovation and sustainability remains a priority and drives us to improve our offerings continuously. In doing so, minor price adjustments are inevitable to offset the rising input costs. While we try to minimise its impact on our customers, a marginal price increase shields us from inflationary challenges.”
MG Motor India's portfolio in India includes a diverse range of vehicles designed to cater to various customer needs. The lineup features SUVs such as the Hector, Hector Plus, Gloster, and the Astor, all of which offer advanced technology, premium interiors, and a host of high-end features.
In the electric vehicle segment, MG offers the ZS EV and the Comet EV, both renowned for their eco-friendly performance and futuristic designs. Additionally, the brand has introduced the Windsor EV, further strengthening its commitment to sustainable mobility.
In another update, MG Motor India is preparing to launch its first all-electric sports car, the Cyberster, in January 2025. The vehicle, which was showcased in India earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Expo, was initially revealed as a concept in 2021. The production version of the Cyberster made its global debut at Auto Shanghai in April 2023. Known as the world’s fastest roadster, the Cyberster aims to revolutionize the electric sports car market in India.
MG Cyberster boasts a striking design, highlighted by sharp, sweptback headlights and a sculpted bumper with a splitter. It features scissor doors and a retractable soft-top roof, which is neatly tucked behind roll bars when not in use. At the rear, arrow-shaped LED taillights are complemented by a continuous LED light bar across the boot. The sporty look is further enhanced by an aggressive split diffuser setup at the bottom, emphasizing its performance-focused nature.
