Kia India has introduced the Syros, a new SUV positioned between compact and mid-size segments, with price starting at Rs 8.99 lakh. Inspired by the EV9 and Carnival, the Kia Syros features a bold design and comes with both petrol and diesel engine options.
Bookings for the Kia Syros are now open across India, with a starting amount of Rs 25,000 required for reservation. Customers can place their bookings at Kia dealerships or via the company’s official website. For those looking to enhance their driving experience, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) features are available as an optional upgrade at an additional cost of Rs 80,000, applicable on the top trim of the Syros.
The Kia Syros is offered in four distinct trims: HTK, HTK+, HTX, and HTX+. Buyers can choose from eight vibrant color options, including Glacier White Pearl, Sparkling Silver, Pewter Olive, Intense Red, Frost Blue, Aurora Black Pearl, Imperial Blue, and Gravity Gray, allowing for a personalized and stylish SUV.
The petrol variants feature the Smartstream G1.0 T-GDi engine, with prices starting at Rs 8.99 lakh for the HTK trim and going up to Rs 15.99 lakh for the top-spec HTX+ with a 7-speed DCT. Diesel options come with the 1.5L CRDi engine, priced from Rs 10.99 lakh for the HTK (O) and reaching Rs 16.99 lakh for the top-end HTX+ automatic variant. Each trim offers a range of premium features, providing a balanced mix of performance and comfort across the lineup.
Kia Syros is available with two engine options, catering to a range of driving preferences. The first is a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, producing 120PS and 172Nm of torque, while the second is a 1.5-liter CRDi diesel engine, offering 116PS and 250Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with manual and automatic transmission options, including the brand's first-ever Smartstream G1.0 turbo GDI engine with a 6-speed manual transmission. These engine choices provide flexibility and performance, making the Syros a versatile offering for Indian SUV buyers.
Kia has packed the Syros with premium features, including a 12.3-inch HD touchscreen, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and a Harman Kardon sound system in top trims. Safety remains a priority with Kia’s 20 Hi Safety Package offered as standard. Higher trims add advanced tech like a Trinity Panoramic Display, OTA software updates, and a smart dashcam. With its feature-rich cabin, multiple engine choices, and competitive pricing, the Syros is set to attract Indian SUV buyers looking for a balance of affordability and modern comforts.
