Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has introduced the Hyundai Creta Electric, aiming to redefine the electric vehicle market in India. Positioned as the brand’s most affordable EV below the Ioniq 5, the Creta Electric is expected to be priced between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). With a focus on cutting-edge technology, bold styling, and strong safety features, the electric SUV targets the rapidly expanding EV segment.
Hyundai also released a captivating TV commercial, “India is now Ready; Electric is now CRETA,” emphasizing the country’s readiness for electric mobility while showcasing the SUV’s sleek design and sophisticated interiors. The Creta Electric is set to attract a diverse audience and solidify Hyundai’s foothold in the competitive EV landscape.
Hyundai Creta Electric combines impressive range, rapid charging, and dynamic performance to cater to a wide range of customers. It features two battery options: a 51.4 kWh pack with a driving range of 473 km and a 42 kWh pack offering 390 km on a single charge. For added convenience, the SUV supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to go from 10% to 80% in just 58 minutes. Additionally, the 11kW Smart Connected Wall Box charger enables full home charging in just 4 hours. Delivering a swift 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 7.9 seconds (Long Range variant), the Creta Electric is designed for families, city commuters, and adventure seekers alike.
Hyundai Creta Electric brings advanced technology to enhance convenience and functionality for its users. It features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, allowing the SUV to act as a portable power source for external devices both inside and outside the car. Adding to the futuristic experience, the Creta Electric includes i-Pedal technology for effortless one-pedal driving, enabling drivers to accelerate, decelerate, and stop using just the accelerator pedal. Its ergonomically designed Shift-by-Wire system offers intuitive gear control, ensuring a seamless and modern driving experience. Hyundai Creta Electric will be offered in four variants: Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence, catering to a range of preferences and budgets. Customers can choose from eight mono-tone and two dual-tone color options, including three distinctive matte finishes. Adding to its stylish appeal is the exclusive Ocean Blue Metallic with a black roof, which creates a bold and contemporary contrast, delivering a sophisticated and modern look.
