Eicher Motors Board Restructuring: Major Changes in Leadership

Eicher Motors Limited (EML) has announced key leadership changes, appointing Siddhartha Lal as the Executive Chairman of the Board following the retirement of former Chairman S. Sandilya. Alongside this transition, Vinod Aggarwal has been named Vice Chairman (Non-Executive), while B. Govindarajan steps in as the new Managing Director of EML. Aggarwal will continue in his existing role as MD and CEO of VE Commercial Vehicles, EML’s joint venture with the Volvo Group. Meanwhile, Govindarajan will also retain his position as the CEO of Royal Enfield. These leadership changes mark a strategic shift for EML as the company looks ahead to its next phase of growth.

Eicher Motors Limited (EML) has further strengthened its board with the appointment of Ira Gupta and Arun Vasu as Independent Directors. Ira Gupta officially joined the board on February 10, while the remaining appointments, including leadership changes, will take effect from February 13, 2025. Meanwhile, Independent Director Manvi Sinha is set to retire from the board on February 12, 2025, upon completing her tenure. These changes reflect EML’s ongoing efforts to enhance governance and leadership as the company moves forward.
