2025 MG Comet Launched at Rs 4.99 Lakh with Battery-as-a-Service at Rs 2.5/km

JSW MG Motor India has rolled out the 2025 Comet EV, offering a stylish and tech-loaded option for city driving. Priced at Rs 4.99 lakh, the car is also available with a Battery-as-a-Service plan at Rs 2.5 per km, making it a practical and affordable choice for urban commuters.
The updated Comet EV features a modern design and improved convenience, aimed at customers looking for a compact, high-tech electric vehicle. Interested buyers can book the 2025 Comet EV or the new Comet BLACKSTORM edition by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000 at MG dealerships across the country.
2025 MG Comet EV is available in five variants—Executive, Excite, Excite Fast Charge, Exclusive, and Exclusive Fast Charge—offering buyers multiple choices based on their needs. The Excite and Excite FC trims now come with added features such as a rear parking camera and power-folding ORVMs, improving safety and ease of use.
Meanwhile, the top-spec Exclusive and Exclusive FC variants offer a more premium feel with leatherette seats and a 4-speaker sound system. The Fast Charge models are powered by a 17.4 kWh battery, delivering a claimed range of up to 230 km on a single charge.
In February 2025, JSW MG Motor India expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the launch of the Comet BLACKSTORM Edition. Priced at Rs 7.80 lakh (ex-showroom) with the Battery-as-a-Service option at Rs 2.5 per km, this special edition stands out with its bold ‘Starry Black’ exterior, complemented by dark chrome elements, blacked-out badges, and red highlights. Inside, the BLACKSTORM Edition offers a premium feel with leatherette seats featuring exclusive ‘Blackstorm’ embroidery. It also includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a matching digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, power-adjustable ORVMs, and a four-speaker audio setup.
